Tolle Fotobände findet man in Galerien, Museen und bei Ausstellungen, aber auch in Buchhandlungen auf Flohmärkten und manchmal auch auf dem Buchbazaar in Büchereinen. Mit ein wenig Glück, läßt sich da so manches Schnäppchen machen.
Eine alte Bekannte von mir sammelt aussergewöhnliche Fotografien. Die Originale von Blossfeldt hatten es mir damals besonders angetan. Sich die Originale zu kaufen, war zu dieser Zeit für mich unerschwinglich. Also habe ich nach einem Fotoband von Karl Blossfeldt gesucht und wurde schnell fündig!
Schnell waren die Lieblingsmotive ausgesucht und vorsichtig aus dem Fotoband herausgerennt. Dafür verwendet man an Besten einen Cutter. In passende Passepartouts eingeklebt und in schwarze Rahmen gerahmt sahen die Fotos aus, wie die Originale. Der Effekt war verblüffend. Durch die Passepartouts, die man in guten Fotoshops, Künstlerfachgeschäften oder auch im Internet bekommt, sahen die Bilder in ihren Rahmen teuer und edel aus. Ich war sehr zufrieden mit dem Ergebnis.
Mittlerweile ist das über 10 Jahre her und meine Sammlung an wunderschönen Fotos hat sich deutlich vergrößert. Und ich bleibe meinen Motiven treu.
Hier und da finden sich neue Wände, die ein neues Kleid wollen und ich finde dann die passenden Fotos. So auch in der Küche, wo sich momentan Asiatische Essensmotive tummeln.
